Golden Sunrise

09JAN2007: road to Merowe, Sudan
Canon SD450
I had been in the Sudan for 9 days, and hadn't been back to my father's village in 16 years. The last time I went back was prior to the floods in 1989 that had wiped the whole village off the face of the earth. Now I returned to find it rebuilt, with running water and electricity. I was only able to stay for one night and had leave early the next morning. This is what I saw early that morning as we drove off.
