A Plume of Smoke

Visiting my old college chum in San Jose this last weekend, we took a walk to get some coffee, and were returning through SJSU's campus when we spotted the contrail above us and noticed that it seemed to be coming out of the top of the building in front of us. Like a shaft of light, or a signal to deep space. In the silence of the holiday time campus it seemed quite likely that it was.
