I was out at the Marina with Dr Germ and we saw this guy flying a huge kite. It was amazing! It swooped and dipped, and hovered. The guy teased the little kids on the other side of the field by bringing the kite down right to their level. It was beautiful.

Samchundong is next to Gwanghwamun palace, the seat of power of the Chosun dynasty. These days, it's a cultural attraction, around which are a lot of cool neighborhoods and great restaurants. The president's house is just up the road, as well as a lot of other wealthy people. Well-tended little gardens and clean streets make it a nice place to stroll on a Sunday afternoon.
