Gitmo Video
I'm not one to talk politics on this blog, as I'm sure you know. But occasionally I see something pretty outrageous and feel compelled to share it with the wide world. Just over at BBC this morning and saw an article about the interrogation video of a Canadian 16 year old being held at the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay. It's pretty harrowing and frankly seems cruelly indifferent to the suffering of someone who is basically a kid, any way you slice it. In short not for the faint of heart.

That video not "so" bad. You might see similar types of behavior from young people who get arrested or imprisoned for non-terrorist activities in the U.S. I expected worse from someone being held in Guantanamo. Maybe the full version of the video is worse. The article's description of his sleep depravation is concerning, and there were probably other things that went on that were not documented in the article.

True enough Houchens, but as you say the things that didn't get recorded are also worth pondering. The whole thing is a big let down for those that believe in due process or humane treatment of prisoners etc.
