Widespread Layoffs
Things have been somewhat unstable at Faceless Corporation, and I returned from my vacation to find that many people had been let go and some of those "redeployed" - an unpleasant euphemism for "layoff". It seems that everyone is getting into the act, even the cosmological community. Today I heard that they are going to demote Pluto from the ranks of the planets. If you guys see Pluto working a secondjob at the Discovery store in the mall, try to be classy about it and don't ask how it feels. I'm sure it feels awful.

Yeah, I've been watching Faceless Corporation over the last several months, and I have to say I am pretty glad they didn't offer me the position I interviewed for. I may not have taken it over my gig at Wells Fargo, but it was one of the more tempting opportunities at the time, mostly due to the way the shifts broke down. They come recruit at my professional club at ASU almost every semester - it will be interesting to see if that happens this year.

It's different down in AZ actually ... but it's not looking good stock-wise either.
