More on the greatest sports event on earth:
Alex has some photos of the reactions in Seoul, South Korea to the victory over Togo last week.
Perk up America, with one man down you managed to hold a vaunted Italian side to a draw, throwing that group into disarray. With Ghana humiliating the Czech Republic the table is now wide open. Now it's on!

I'll take a tie with Italy all day long. Now they (Italy) needs to tighten up & beat the Czechs and we need to deflate Ghana's soaring morale early in Thursday morning's game. I'll worry about what comes next if we even make it that far.

"Police in the Gyeonggi Province city of Uijeongbu have booked six people after a brawl over the alleged lackluster enthusiasm of one group in cheering the Korean team during a World Cup match broadcast Monday. Police say the six came to blows at around 4:15 a.m. while watching Korea play France in the World Cup on monitors at the Uijeong city sports stadium. After France scored the first goal, two people, one of them an office worker identified as Kim, yelled at a group of four people in front, “What are you, traitors? Why don’t you root more vigorously?” Incensed, the four attacked Kim and the person with him, police said."
I can't say that Korea makes me happy on a daily basis, but I promise I am never bored.
Glad you enjoyed the pictures.

Koreans always go all out apparently no matter what they;re doing. Must be scary to walk around with foreign jersey :)

Admittedly, a relatively new follower of the World Cup, I just read the 7 scenarios possible for US advancement. All I can say is this point system is going to require further research. I guess a win is not necessarily a win & a loss isn't necessarily a loss. For instance:Italy ties the Czech Republic 2-2 or with a higher score AND the United States beats Ghana by four goals AND the U.S. team scores at least three goals more than the Czechs do in their tie. Whah?

Well my newb friend, that's the reason to win outright in the first two games. You find yourself in Byzantine calculations on how to get ahead. Of course it's all moot when you lose to Ghana.
