I just watched the Germany/Costa Rica game. Three cheers for HD PVRs! It was interesting to watch a country with no army take on the goose-stepping militant machine. On the east cost we have the advantage of having games start at noon each day, so we can watch some of them during lunch in the cafe!

I remember getting a few lessons at the track field. If I remember correctly, we went shopping for soccer cleats & you kept rubbing them against your face looking for the softest leather. Just for the record, I found that a little weird since we had just really met.

Your cleats are like your rifle are like your girlfriend :)
Any thoughts on USA Czech Republic? It was a drubbing! I wasn't even vaguely surprised myself.
As for watching the games, we're watching in the SWAT rooms Les.

Man, I love the World Cup!
England did well today after the shambles on Saturday.

There have been some great games so far. This trend of scoring bunches of goals in the last 10 minutes is interesting.
And yes, we got our a**es handed to us, but at least we can say that we haven't suffered the worst beat-down of the cup...so far that honor belongs to Ukraine and the 4-0 b**ch slapping Spain put on them. Be prepared to see the world's best diving team, Italy, as they face the US next. We need this one so say your prayers, do a fast, and be good kids until the game :)
By the way, did anyone besides me go nuts when the guy from Trinidad scored on a heel flick versus England, which was called back for offsides?
The best part of the tournament for the US: No Tab Ramos or "Dislexi" Lalas

Saima, England is under acheiving and if I were you I'd be worried about what they'll be doing in the next round.
Jesuisme, at least Ukraine didn't eat it like Serbia against the Argentines. I am mostly disappointed with the officiating and frankly Trinidad got robbed. Thank goodness for no Tab Ramos. Now all we need is for Claudio Reyna to go away and we can finally root for the US properly. Your boys did good though!
